“Heavenly Father, I come to You in the mighty Name of Jesus to ask blessings and mercy on my country (USA) and its leaders.  Please guide our President Donald J. Trump and his cabinet, our congress and courts, and leaders throughout our land in every decision they make.  Show them the way of truth and righteousness.  In times of stress, Lord, make them steady; in times of success, make them humble.  Turn their hearts to You that they will want Your wisdom, and be obedient to Your instructions.   Let them recognize evil and turn away from it, and let them know good, and grasp hold of it.  Make them honest, effective, and innovative as they run our country, but most of all, cause them to be men and women of high integrity in Your eyes, that under their leadership, this nation and its people may prosper.  For Your many blessings, I praise and thank You, and ask You to grant my prayer that this nation may truly say ‘In God We Trust’ all the days of our lives”.                                                                                                               Emma Conroy

 

Note from Sharon Reiter in the Eastern Tier of our Diocese:

 January 13 is Father Michael’s birthday.  He is assigned to St. Mary’s Camden and Holy Family Mission, Huntingdon, as Associate Pastor.  He came here over a year ago to assist Father Ene during his medical issues.

Father Herbert Ene continues to be our Pastor.  Presently, he is at Vanderbilt, where he is receiving stem cell therapy. (I think that is what it is called — he received a transplant of stem cells grown from his own cells).  We all have been praying for a miracle to come out of this.  Some of us are blaming his medical issues on the jabs he received in order to go back to Nigeria for his R & R.  I BELIEVE he has been diagnosed with some kind of blood cancer that has given him symptoms very similar to ALS.  In fact, some of us thought that is what it was.  Anyway, at this point, we are hopeful things will turn around.
